Here is a brief guideline that will help you properly document your IT related issue(s), and in turn, assist us in supporting you more effectively and efficently.
1. Activity:
- What are you doing? Or trying to do at the time of the error?
2. Website URL/Program/Environment
- What web page address were you using when the problem occurred?
- What program were you using when the problem occurred? E.g. Word/Excel/SAP
- What environment were you in when the problem occurred? E.g. Test or Live Environment
3. Problem Description:
- Please describe problem, giving enough information that we can reproduce it ourselves.
- Step by step screenshots would be helpful for the support team
- SAP related issues, please document transaction name and code
- BI related issues, please document report technical name
4. Error Output:
- Please provide relevant error messages which demonstrate the problem. Attachments with examples are good!
5. Workaround/Resolution:
- Have you found a way to work around the problem? Or do you have a suggestion or idea for how to solve the problem?
